In late 2010, after 4 years of trying, our very own Nick Reed finally succeeded in making the final of the world’s greatest Cocktail competition; The 42below Cocktail World Cup in Queenstown, NZ. His ticket to this once in a life trip was a simple yet sumptuous concoction named after both the very popular antipodean saying and the Kiwi’s penchant for wooly creatures. A blend of Passionfruit and Kiwi fruit vodka is mixed with milk, cream, home-made raspberry syrup, lemon, lime and a dash of vanilla. It is then painstakingly shaken for 420 seconds or until the bartender faints from exhaustion. It is worth noting that Nick and his team took out third place at the prestigious international event, so raise your glass (or tin) to an amazing achievement!
