Cobbler
Another old style mix of citrus and wine leavened with a touch of orange curacao, but still very dry.
This style of mixed drink uses wine, pounded ice, citrus or citrus peel, and sugar. Ours is inspired by the Claret Cobbler from The Bon Vivants Companion, 1862, but we use Red Wine, French Curacao, Cherry Brandy, Lemon, Orgeat, bitters and crushed ice, served in a wine glass and garnished with seasonal fruit to accent the flavour of the wine.
